Stop Being Lazy and Fat - It's Time To Get Fit and Healthy Instead



You can't go very far without seeing signs telling you how important it is to become healthier. You're constantly being told how you ought to be in better shape. You've gotten the message all right, from billboards, books, and magazines: you need to get in better shape! Eat better food! Of course, these always seem to be interspersed with ads for fast food and for the latest "healthy" menu at the local greasy spoon. You already know the importance of exercising. Yet too many people take this to mean that they need to work out extremely hard day after day. That is not a truthful statement. The truth is that your muscles won't ever get stronger if you don't give them time to heal. Your muscles don't grow as you are working them and tearing them down during exercise, but only through rest and recuperation.

The best workout routine would involve a hard day following by an easier day. For instance, you could work out thoroughly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You could then go a tad easier on Tuesday, on Thursday and then on Saturday by walking or doing a series of pushups.

It's also important to make sure you're getting a proper amount of sleep. Our bodies are pushed to the limit every day. This makes us stay up later in the evening. It means that we are getting up earlier and earlier. As a result, our bodies are not properly rested. Your sleep time is important time for the body to fix the damage that was done the previous day. The time you spend sleeping is the time the body has to recharge its batteries. On average, adults need to get at least eight hours of sleep a night. Try getting that eight hours of sleep for a week and see what a difference it makes for you.

You should refrain from drinking too much. Studies have been conducted that show that a glass of red wine at dinner is a good thing for your health. This is because of the very healthy tannins that exist in red wine. You should always keep your alcohol intake as low as possible, however. A tad bit of wine can be good for you. A whole bottle of wine isn't so good for you. Alcohol is terrible for your liver and for the rest of your body as well. Drinking too much can hurt you in lots of ways. So limit your intake so that you can stay healthy. You can of course accomplish this in many ways. You do not need to deprive yourself of things you enjoy just to get healthy. q You can simply make the choice to live better and make better choices. Make harder choices and smarter choices.
