4. Say no to Alcohol

Alcohol has huge levels of calories plus it dehydrates the body. Large quantities of alcohol adds large quantities of weight. I would strongly suggest you try to reduce the alcohol intake, as much as possible.

5. Take before and after photos

There is a lot of positive self motivation gained by taking before and after photos of yourself. There's no easier way to illustrate your progress. The "before and after" photos are fun to share.

6. Join an online support group

You don't have to be alone despite not telling your personal group of family and friends. Look for others in a similar position as you are and you will find tremendous support in them. It is very normal to seek moral support from others. They will know things you couldn't possibly know, and they may very well have been in your position at some point in the past. The ability to share experiences with other people in similar situations, is priceless.

7. Read Food Labels

It may feel weird at the start but once you get into the habit it actually becomes fun. It can also be a huge eye opening exercise. Some of the fat, sodium and sugar levels in the products you have been buying will surprise you, and not in a good way. Don't avoid this piece of advice. If you don't know what you're putting in your mouth, you're not going to win.

8. Exercise

Exercise has not been created equal. There are many different choices but you need to look out for cardiovascular exercise to burn calories. This form of exercise will increase your heart rate and as a consequence burn calories. I would also recommend you mix it up with some strength training.

9. Distracted Exercise

Zone out when you exercise if you can. Including some music while you work out is a good idea. Being distracted from your exercise will make it easier. You will be surprised how fast the time will go by when you do this. Total concentration on what you are doing will certainly make it drag out. If you are able to do your exercise in front of the television as well.

10. Use Weight Loss Pills

Many people use these is conjunction with a well balanced eating and exercise program.
