Workouts to Help You Lose Weight After Giving Birth

When you have had a baby, caring for a newborn can leave you so exhausted that you don't feel like doing most things, especially working out. That means it's not likely that you'll go to the gym or even that you'll take to the outdoors to go for a walk or run. Plus, a new baby requires you to be close by all the time. So not only do you not have motivation to work out, it's hard to find time away to work out. The good news is that the three exercises below will give you the weight loss boost you need to get back to your pre-baby weight in record time, and you can do them all in the comfort of home while your baby is resting. What could be better than that? Also, in case you're interested, something that has greatly helped me lose weight after pregnancy is Beachbody's Shakeology drink. Check out this Shakeology review to learn more about it.

Leg Kicks: This is a wonderful exercise for raising your pulse rate and it gives you fantastic abs. To begin, lay on your side with your body slightly bent at the waist in a pike position. Keep one leg bent to help you keep your balance and then straighten out your top leg and draw it forward as far as you can. Keeping your leg up, bring it back so that it hovers over your bottom (bent) leg. Without lowering your leg, repeat the movement ten times. Repeat the same on your other side. Just three reps on each side each day and you'll get the results you want very quickly. Forearm plank breathing is another exercise you can use to lose pregnancy weight. Now, slowly lower yourself until your forearms are flat on the surface below. Then, straighten your legs so that your body makes a straight line. Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale through your mouth as you squeeze your abs, holding this position. Next lower your chest to the floor doing pushups for 30 seconds. Repeat this three times and you'll be well on your way to your pre-pregnancy weight. This exercise will help you strengthen your core and correct your posture.

Walking: In 2007 Harvard did a study that proved walking for just a half an hour every day can lower the chances of a woman keeping her pregnancy weight. Women who participated in this study lost eleven pounds and most of the women had lost all of their pregnancy weight by their baby's first birthdays. That means that you need to get up and go outside! While the time of day that you walk is not important, it is important to choose baby friendly weather if you want to take the baby outside with you.

Also, don't forget to stay properly hydrated on your walk. Do this every day and you'll lose that weight in no time.

There you have it. Those are some of the best ways for you to lose weight until you get back to your pre-pregnancy weight. Try these three tips and you're sure to fit into your old clothes in just a short period of time. Before you go, be sure to look at this article on Shakeology scam rumors.
