How To Gain Muscle Naturally... No Steroids Necessary!




Wondering how to gain muscle? There are many fads, gimmicks and "quick fixes" to be found, but there is really only one healthy way to gain muscle mass. Genetics and steroids are not the answer.

The process is fairly simple, and it only involves two steps.

Take in more calories.
Exercise.

Losing fat and gaining muscles are different goals, and they should be approached differently. The whole program is different for the two.

If you want to gain muscle mass, you must take in more calories. Since you will be taking in more than what you are used to, your body will gain weight. While nutritional supplements may be utilized, this should NOT be used as a substitute for a healthy diet. The increased calories are then offset by working out with weights in order to achieve the increased muscle mass you desire. The muscles are overloaded and they will grow bigger. The calories are necessary to build and repair the muscles after intense workout.

If you are hoping to increase your muscle mass, it is important for you to realize that it will take a strong commitment, a healthy diet, and a good routine to stick with the plan. The right diet will be rich in protein and calories.

The first step is to multiply your present weight by 18. This number will give you a rough idea of how many calories your body needs in a day to bulk up. If you are involved in other sports, are very active, or have a strong metabolism, you might need to adjust the amount to include even more calories. Keeping up with the diet alone is very challenging. You might have to strive to eat enough calories. Eating a variety of small meals each day is easier than eating three huge meals.

Your intake of protein is very important. The ideal intake would be one and a half grams of protein per pound of weight. Even if it sounds like a tremendous amount to meet, eating smaller meals makes it easier. Fish, poultry, eggs, and lean red meat are excellent sources of protein. Lots of fresh vegetables and simple carbohydrates combined with plenty of protein should allow you to meet your calorie quota each day. The perfect body building diet will include taking in plenty of calories in the form of the right types of food.
