In some places, weather can be a significant obstacle to pursuing your fitness goals. In areas with severe winters, there may be days or even weeks, where you won't be able to exercise outside or even drive to the gym. Then you forget about the exercise program by the time spring comes along. Finding exercises you can do at home is a simple solution to this. You may prefer exercising outside or at the gym but it's not always practical to go out so it's good to have a routine you can do at home. Your at home routine can include using weights, an exercise machine, or an exercise mat for calisthenics, yoga, or push-ups. Some people feel they are too old to begin a fitness program. This point of view was common a few decades ago, but evidence has shown that even older people can make significant improvements in their fitness by exercising. Experiments have been conducted on people in their sixties and beyond that prove it's possible to rebuild muscles and strength by lifting weights at any age. Some fitness exercises that are good for older people include exercises in water, walking and lifting light weights. In other words, age is no longer a barrier to exercising and reaching a higher level of fitness.

Being tired and have low energy levels can be a symptom of poor fitness but they can also be a reason to not exercise. Many people are not getting enough sleep which why they're always tired. Maintaining physical activity can be difficult or even dangerous when you're sleep deprived, making it hard to feel like exercising. You can get some help with insomnia by making changes to your diet and routine but if you have serious issues with it, you should let your doctor know. You may find that turning off your TV and computer earlier and avoiding stimulants in the evenings help you fall asleep easier.
